Cliff wanted to post consistently. His calendar had other plans.

“I posted very intermittently. Something that should have taken ten minutes, sometimes it would take an hour. Or I would start and something else would get done. Or then I wouldn’t post at all.”
The results matched the effort.

“My impressions were low. If you’re posting intermittently, you’re getting twenty, fifteen, thirty, maybe fifty.”
Cliff’s whole business is credibility. AI-sounding posts would burn it.
“Everybody can go into ChatGPT or Claude and say, create posts for me. But then it sounds like everybody else. I see people that do that, and you can tell that they’re AI posts. Especially for someone who promotes publishing and books and credibility, the last thing I want to do is put out AI stuff.”
“The fear was, how’s this gonna be different from anybody else? And how’s this really gonna be authentic and sound like me?”
Cliff Pelloni, Founder, Idea to Author PublishingHe uploaded a pile of his real material: website content, transcribed interviews, sales and marketing material. We told him it would sound like him, and if it didn’t, we’d adjust.

“The nice thing was when I got the first set of posts, it was my voice. It was my voice.”
We fed on his real material: interviews, website, marketing collateral. The more content, the better it gets.
Monthly themes, so every post ladders up to one overarching topic instead of random thoughts.
Posts he barely touches. “I would just change a few things, kind of fine tune it. But that would take two to three minutes, five minutes at the top.”
The number he cares about most moved first.

“I saw not only my impressions go up, but mostly my engagements went up. I think my engagements went up by fifty-one percent.”
The reach got serious.

“I’m getting people that are, customer wise, within my ideal customer spectrum. I’ve engaged with a couple of people, gotten some small projects out of it. And we really haven’t been working together that long.”
And the workload collapsed.

“I would do a week’s worth of content in about thirty minutes and then I don’t have to worry about it.”
His best moment sums up why he does this at all:

“Before it was posting, getting no exposure. Now I’m getting much more exposure. I’m now in the room and people are listening to me.”
“I’m not embarrassed of what I’m posting. It’s me, it’s my voice. I’ve tried a couple different services. Nothing comes close.”
